At the beginning the Institute was accredited as a R&D organisation and listed under number 85 by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Republic Slovenia in their list. The data from this list you can see in SICRIS.

Institute IRMA is part of IRI system given in the next scheme:

Share company IRI (Engineering Development Innovation) is a company primarily dealing with:

  • sale of technology and know how
  • production and sale of fibres for fibres reinforced concretes
  • production and sale of admixtures for high performance concretes
  • sale of testing equipment for concrete laboratories

REINAL d.o.o. is the sister company dealing with:

  • carrying out of special construction works
  • carrying out of repair works

Activities of Institute IRMA

The activities of the institute are research, development, testing, consulting, and engineering. The Institute specializes in concrete, concrete technology and concrete products. It's research and development is primarily in the field of cement and polymer binded composite materials. The majority of composite materials used today are specialized high performance concretes. The Institute also devotes it's attention to the questions of recycling harmless industrial and building waste materials.

In regards to consulting and engineering, the Institute provides technical support and solutions to complex problems in concrete technology. It also provides technical supervision and quality control of materials. Of special interrest in this field is the use of the most advanced materials and solutions in the repair and restoration of concrete structures. In this capacity the scientists of the Institute deteremine the condition of the structure. After determining the couses of damage, they design the repair procedure as well as provide technical supervision of the most delicate stages.
